What does swtor have to do to push me over the line? To cause me and thousands of others to unsub? To lose the following they have. What will it take to cross the point where they are no longer forgiven? Where they are no longer trusted? I think I'm nearing that point.
For me the game just isn't much fun anymore. I can say I'm tired of playing the same old stuff. I can say that I hate the new gearing system. I can say I dislike their recent focus on single player story. I can say I dislike their 1 boss at a time new ops release strategy. I can say all of this but really it just comes down to one fact. I feel no incentive from RNG based rewards. None. To me it's similar to playing the lottery or hitting the slots both of which I have no interest in doing. No, less than no interest really. I personally think it's a waste of time, money, and effort. And that is how I feel right now.
Sure it's all about perspective. Some people may like this system, they may like playing the slots, I do not. So this system and Bioware/EAs insistence on using it is driving a firm hard wedge between me and a game I've spent far too many hours playing.
What does it take to push me over the line? A reward system I despise and cannot get behind. An insistence on breaking something that wasn't broken. An inability to listen to their community. A stubbornness to continue onward despite the hatred received. They've done so much that I dislike and yet here I am still subbed, still on the wall threatening to jump, to run away and not look back. But is it enough to push me over the line? I think it is.
So, how do you guys feel? Am I full of shit? Should I just stop bitching? or do you agree with me?
